Soulful Messiah

Sanda Faire and Ivan Fecan Theatre @ York University

Ballet Creole presents the holiday classic, Soulful Messiah as part of York University AMPD’s “Year of the Arts” Series. Over the past 20 years, this ballet has grown and cultivated into a truly inspiring celebration of life, death and love with every song full of purpose and interconnected meaning. The dance vocabulary includes, tap, jazz, afrocaribbean, ballet, contemporary, hip hop and freestyle and the musical score includes gospel, R&B, pop and more. ‘Da Kink in My Hair

Set in a West Indian hair salon in Toronto, ‘da Kink in My Hair untangles the triumphs and tragedies of the women who sit in Novelette's salon chair, giving voice to a group of women who tell us their unforgettable, moving, and hilarious stories. Presented by TO Live and Soulpepper Theatre.


Corpus in the Junction

Junction Street Theatre

Every Saturday from September 3 to December 24, 2022, 2 to 4 PM, CORPUS will feature a series of four FREE unique and engaging street performances at multiple locations in the Junction that combine movement and theatrical imagery with surrealist humour. CORPUS’ internationally acclaimed street performances offer expressive and temporary street art in accessible locations for large and diverse audiences to enjoy.
