Sutapa Majumdar

As a second-generation Canadian of South Asian heritage, I was raised with a deep appreciation for the cultural traditions of my ancestors—expressed through dance, music, and theatre. As a lifelong Torontonian, parent, educator, and committed community member, I believe the arts are essential to the city’s vitality. Nova Dance Co. embodies the spirit of cultural preservation and innovation, blending classical and folk traditions with contemporary expression. I would be honoured to serve on its board of directors to help sustain and advance the cultural richness of our community.
