Mathura Yogalingam (she/her)
"In my full-time job, I'm a scientist; beyond that, dance has always been how I connect to my body, to story, and to the people around me. I trained in Bharatanatyam for twelve years growing up, which shaped my love for storytelling through movement. Today, I explore heels and sensual movement to stay connected to my body and feminine energy, alongside a growing love for Latin, Arabic, and African dance. I'm also drawn to dance history, especially its ties to colonialism, and how movement has served as resistance, celebration, and freedom."
