Karthiha Parthiban (she/her)

Karthiha Parthiban, an Indian classical dancer, resides in Markham. A Kalakshetra alum, she's a versatile artist with profound choreographic finesse and a musical flair. Karthiha's Bharatanatyam journey captivates audiences globally. A PhD candidate at Tamil University, she excels in scholarly exploration. With 15 years of teaching, choreography, and production experience, she exploring culturally sensitive dance therapy for South Asians, presenting her research at international conferences. Karthiha's dance odyssey extends across Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Europe, Thailand, and Canada.

Karthiha has also received specialized training in Nattuvangam under the tutelage of Bhagavathalu Seetharama Sharma, who served as the Natuvanar for Kalakshetra's revered Rukmani Devi amma. Furthermore, she has honed her skills in stage lighting, costume colors, and classical dance makeup, adding a distinctive touch to her artistic profile.
