Catch Nova Bhattacharya (Nova Badass-acharya) in Metal Queen, at the Toronto Burlesque Festival this fall!

Metal Queen is a portal into the ecstatic, ferocious world of Kali—the original Metal Queen—where creation and destruction, seduction and fury, collide. Fusing Bharatanatyam and Burlesque, this vivid vignette reimagines the erotic and macabre power of the Bengali Mother Goddess through the lens of1980s rock and roll. In this meeting of dance forms, something bold, electric, and unapologetically divine emerges.

Metal Queen is choreographed and performed by Nova Bhattacharya, and directed by Dainty Smith.
